TECH IS 100 YEARS OLD!

The U.S. Congress approved funds to construct a new McKinley Technical High School to be located on T Street, N.E. The new building was completed in 1927 and tthe students in the Rhode Island Avenue school were enrolled in the new school in September 1927. The first graduating class from the new school was in June 1928.

Principal Kortni Stafford is in the process of developimg plans forf this centennial commemoration. We will keep you informed of any developments In the meantime, please let any graduates with whom you stay in touch know about the upcoming celebration.
